Flipboard

I can't believe that I have not written about this cool iPad App before. It was one of the first things I used on the iPad and one of the first things that I integrated into my lessons.

My senior art class linked our twitter page to our iPads and we were literally able to create our own textbooks. We were studying Picasso and the development of Modernism at the time and set up a series of tags in Tweetdeck so that all the feeds were fed directly back to our Flipboard app.

Flipboard turned these into a beautiful magazine style document that was constantly updated with news, information and current exhibition reviews. This became a valuable resource. There was a retrospective in New York we knew nothing about with a great website that really complimented what we were studying.
